Structure & Components
Each DWT roof ventilator consists of a motor, impeller, air duct, wind cap, transmission assembly, louver damper, bird screen, and safety guard. Models up to size 11.2# employ a direct motor drive, while size 12# and above utilize belt drive or reducer drive systems for enhanced power and flexibility. Louver dampers are available in gravity-operated, manual, or electric types to meet various control needs. For ease of maintenance, models size 12# and above include an access door, while smaller models feature a removable wind cap.
These axial-flow fans are designed with the impeller mounted directly on the motor shaft, secured by keys, pressure plates, and bolts. The motor is efficiently cooled by integrated radiator fins on the base and the axial airflow generated during operation.
