The Rooftop Packaged Air Conditioning Unit is a large-to-medium-sized integrated air conditioning equipment with a built-in cold source and an air-cooled direct expansion structure. It does not require cooling water or chilled water systems. Its refrigeration, heating, humidification, air supply, air purification, and electrical control components are all integrated into a horizontal cabinet. It is called a "rooftop air conditioning unit" mainly because it is mostly installed on rooftops.
In terms of structure and surface treatment, the rooftop air conditioning unit is generally equipped with measures for sun protection, wind protection, and rain protection. According to the specific environmental requirements of the unit’s application site, it can also be treated with explosion-proof, anti-corrosion, and other measures.
The unit can be configured into different types as required: clean type, constant temperature and humidity type, constant temperature and humidity clean type, heat pump type, cooling-only type, and electric heating type.

  6. Easy Installation & Maintenance: The unit is installed on rooftops or outdoor spaces, eliminating the need for a machine room and saving space. Maintenance access is set up in the unit’s functional sections, allowing easy maintenance of the compressor, fan, and control components, as well as filter replacement and internal cleaning of the unit.

Working Principle

Cooling Mode

The outdoor finned heat exchanger acts as a condenser, while the indoor finned heat exchanger serves as an evaporator. The high-temperature refrigerant gas discharged by the compressor is condensed into a liquid in the outdoor finned heat exchanger. After being throttled and depressurized by the expansion valve, it becomes a low-temperature gas-liquid mixture, which then flows into the indoor finned heat exchanger. After absorbing heat and evaporating, it returns to the compressor, completing a refrigeration cycle. At the same time, the return air (or fresh air) from the room passes through the indoor finned heat exchanger (acting as an evaporator at this time) to be cooled down, and the treated cold air is sent back to the room by the indoor fan.

Heating Mode

The outdoor finned heat exchanger acts as an evaporator, and the indoor finned heat exchanger serves as a condenser. The high-temperature refrigerant gas discharged by the compressor is condensed into a liquid in the indoor finned heat exchanger. After being throttled and depressurized by the expansion valve, it becomes a low-temperature gas mixture, which then flows into the outdoor finned heat exchanger. After absorbing heat and evaporating, it returns to the compressor, completing a refrigeration cycle. Meanwhile, the return air (or fresh air) from the room passes through the indoor finned heat exchanger (acting as a condenser at this time) to be heated up, and the treated hot air is sent back to the room by the indoor fan.
